    hgh question

    is it any more harmful or less if you have a couple beers or a glass of wine while on hgh. im not a big drinker but i do like to have a drink or two sometimes with dinner, thanks

    I see no harm in a beer or a glass of wine every now and then just as long as not like 10 beers every now and then.

    no its def not that, i just wasnt sure if it would screw up my igf-1 levels really bad or anything like that

    does alcohol even effect IGF levels? it didnt even cross my mind before..

    i've heard of people being bloated the next day bigtime.

    I believe alcohol can prevent the liver from releasing igf-1. That theory may be outdated. But one of the reasons why there is such a worry about teenage drinking is because it is shown to significantly upset the hormonal balance ... gh release in particular - which can lead to a range of undesireable effects at that stage of growth.

    I don't think it would effect igf-1 as much as it would gh though.

    Perhaps one of the vets can clarify.

    Smart post dude. I've heard this too and don't believe this to be outdated. I think this is more relevant when your talking big drinking binges rather than a standard glass or two...However it is something to think about. I wouldn't think there would be much concern with the igf-1 though as the liver isn't as important in this role, good point Steve.
