Diabetes in family...so is taking Insulin too risky?
My grandfather had it, and my mother has developed borderline Diabetes. I am reading about Insulin supplementation in bodybuilding, and am debating on adding it to my next cycle. I know you can develope Insulin dependant Diabetes from doing this, and was wondering if I have a good chance of having a problem with this later in life or if I take Insulin?

Type 1 or type 2?
I have type 1 and no one in my family history has it...

Using insulin more than once p/day, overdosing and using it for a long period of time can lead one to become dependant. If it runs in the family, then in terms of becoming dependant, you may be more sensetive than anyone else.

This is my big concern as well. Almost everyone in my family has diabetes. I know I'm borderline as well... just haven't been tested, but my bloodsugar is a serious issue. I've had all sorts of other health issues related to this imbalance.
I was sure I wanted to take hgh... up until I started reading about the insulin part... then my skin started crawling.
I'll look this up, and may find an answer searching, but... if you DO have a propensity toward diabetes or hypoglycemia/ blood sugar issues in general...
... are all IGF and HGH programs out of the picture, or is there some combination that could actually be helpful while remaining healthy LONG TERM (long after cycles are completed).

If you have issues with your natural BG, I belive it is wise to stay away from anything that has an effect on BG.

Blood Glucose?
Also... just to be clear, that means stay away from all HGH, IGF, etc?

Understood and agreed. This is only my third or so day on here, and first day reading through the hgh stuff. I was just trying to verify that IGF, HGH, etc. all screw with BG.
Good info. Thx.
Going to get Chromium Picolonate tomorrow!

I know IGF and insulin have an effect on yor BG, however, I am unsure of how much of an effect HGH has on your BG, but I am under the impression that HGHs effect on BG is not as bad insulin and IGFs effect.
Maybe we can get some HGH experts onto this thread.
Either way, good luck and welcome to AR.
