    Why is MR's Lyophilized igf-1 called IGTROPIN?

    ....I thought that was GenSci's brand name....

    it won't let me zoom the pic and it's too broken up to read. in their description of it, they don't use the word igtropin that i can see.

    So this is GenSci's Igtropin? Or do you folks just get this from the same place that GenSci gets theirs?
    I ask this because while the vial says "IGTROPIN" on it, GenSci is not mentioned on it at all..

    The thing I wonder is how MR's IGF stays good for as long as they claim. I spoke with a GenSci rep in my area and he told me IGTropin is only good for 4 days after being mixed. That is why they ship their 1 mg in 10 seperate vials like their HGH. So if MR is using GenSci's powder, how the hell does is stay stable for as long as they claim? Please answer this question MuscleResearch, if you are who you claim to be.

    if you're asking about regular LR3, it will stay good at room temp for 2 years. that's pretty well known. don't know about the lypholized though.

    What do you mean, "if you are who you claim to be." MR has been a participating member of this board and a sponsor of many other boards for quite some time. I'll answer the question for him.

    Storage, Taken from MR
    The stability of a liquid solution of LR3IGF-I was monitored for a period of two years at storage conditions of -20 C, +4 C, +22 C, and +37 C. The final concentration of LR3IGF-I was in acetic acid. At various time points, samples were taken and compared to a lyophilized control (stored at 4 C). Listed below are the stability results for each respective storage condition.

    Storage Condition: -20 C (-4 F)
    Biological Potency No Change up to 2 years
    Immunological Activity No Change up to 2 years
    Mobility of Protein No Change up to 2 years
    Elution Profile by reversed phased HPLC No Change up to 2 years

    Storage Condition: +4 C (39.2 F)
    Biological Potency No Change up to 2 years
    Immunological Activity No Change up to 2 years
    Mobility of Protein No Change up to 2 years
    Elution Profile by reversed phased HPLC No Change up to 2 years

    Storage Condition: +22 C (71.6 F)
    Biological Potency No Change up to 2 years
    Immunological Activity No Change up to 2 years
    Mobility of Protein No Change up to 2 years
    Elution Profile by reversed phased HPLC No Change up to 2 years

    Storage Condition: +37 C (98.6 F)
    Biological Potency No Change up to 1 year
    Immunological Activity No Change up to 1 year
    Mobility of Protein No Change up to 1 year
    Elution Profile by reversed phased HPLC No Change up to 1 year
    In conclusion
    There is no significant difference in the potency of LR3IGF-I associated with the storage of the liquid formulation when stored at this range of temperatures. There is no evidence for loss of biological activity at any of the tested temperatures when stored as a liquid product. As you can see IGF can be quite stable for even a year at room temp, but if you want to keep it around for a while stick it into the fridge. So IMO the best way to store LR3 that is suspended in BA is in the freezer. The BA wont allow it to freeze. And if you have it suspended in AA, store it in the fridge.

    Actually I just realized my last post was storage for liquid reconstituted IGF and not lypholized powder but you can see that MR does his homework and I would have no reason to doubt his claims.

    Sorry guys haven't been here to post but looks like all was already taken care of. The reason Gensci only rates the vials good for a few days is because they are refering to reconstitution with Sterile water not Acetic Acid solution. Yes it will degrade rapidly if in water only.

    I hope this as well as the previous post from the members above clear up any misconceptions.
