i have read...after my post work shot of insulin....i would drink a carbohydrate shake ....cant i just eat a meal....i am shooting the humalin r intermusclarly...in my bicep... :evil2:

I agree, a drink is better suited for post w/o meal with slin, but I would add a whey protein idolate to those carbs, it has the least amount of fat in it of all the powdered proteins

Depending on the insulin your using and how you inject will determine your 'window' from the time you start to go hypo. I have only ever ran Humalog so I'm not quite too sure how fast the R will start to take effect.Quote:

You should know what your using and how to use it before you starting shooting something that can kill you in no time flat. You should be using Humalog but if all you can get is Humulin R def. shoot it IM to speed up the onset time. And do yourself a favor, like Johnny said, get some dextrose. If you can't find a brewery you can order it online dirt cheap. Good idea with the glucose tabs. I've had to use them a couple times.Quote:
