HGH question on when to inject

I have a few questions about hgh. I just started taking hgh a little over a week ago.
I am taking 2.5 iu 5/2. I was instructed to take the shot about 1.5 hours after I eat something and not to eat anything for about 1.5 hours after taking it. I was told that food will spike your insulin levels. So what would happen if I would eat close to taking the shot? Does it kill the hgh?
Next question. I have been reading on this board about people taking slin with their hgh. If the above is bad to do, doesn't taking slin have the same reaction?

Thanks for that explanation RedBaron. So eating any types of protein like steak, chicken or a protein drink should be ok then? Just stay away from the carbs in that period of time.

What does happen when you do eat food that spikes your insulin levels at that time? What does it do to the hgh?
