It is always better to monitor you blood glucose levels with a little blood from the finger, or whatever your monitor uses. If you are trying to time and feel how much carbs you need after shooting by trial and error always have someone watching over you and have some OJ or something really sweet on hand in case you go hypo.

Also, bump this up b/c I have no personal experience with slin...yet

i just started slin for the first time today. i shot 6i.u. and i didn't feel hypo at all. maybe a little tired feeling for a few minutes, but i'm always a safety first type of person, but i think it might depend more on dosage and how comfotable you feel with it.

More importantly, it's better to have dextrose on hand incase of hypo. Glucose meter will allow you to see where your BG levels are at, which will help you fine tune your diet. The way you feel will tell you if you need carbs or not.

As long as you have dex on you at all times while slin is active.
