Question Starting HGH soon: what to look for in blood work?

    My stats:
    Age - 31
    Height 6'2"
    Weight 201 lbs
    Lifting experience: nearly 4 years
Typical bench press workout: 225 lbs, 4 sets of 8 reps
    Bodyfat: 12.5% (caliper)
    Cycle experience: zilch

I will likely get a full blood panel done, but for HGH purposes, I should be looking at IGF-1 levels prior to 1st injection, correct? When should I have my 2nd panel done to check the effectiveness of the HGH? What are normal (pre-cycle) levels of IGF-1 for a man my age?

Here are my goals with the HGH: fat loss, more youthful feeling and better skin. I plan to run 2 IU's ED of Humatrope or Genotropin. What IGF-1 levels should I look for in bw after a month or two of cycling HGH? I understand a 6 month cycle is a bare minimum. Just want to monitor my levels and get what I pay for. Thanks.

You should be in the top 1/3 of the range to be "optimal."

So this is not like a test cycle, where we are trying to push our test levels well above their normal range? The HGH cycle will not push our IGF-1 levels well above normal range? thanks.

You can also get a hgh blood test. These are very time specific. If you have the patience try taking a blood test fasting am to establish baseline hgh level and then do 3 mg hgh sub q and test 2-3 hours later, you should see an increase of approx. 12 ng/ml.
