What do you eat w slin?

    I read simple carbs
When I ask people I hear:
Fruit juice (contains fructose, so not for me)
Pancakes and maple syrup (high fat, syrup high in fructose so not for me)
Oatmeal (tried it, crashed first spike as I thought I would)
Sugary cereal (tried it, crashed on second spike as I thought)
    .
    .
    .
I've been doing dextrose, cream of rice, and oatmeal. But that's a lot of work, looking for better options
    So what do you eat?

You'll crash throughout the duration of slin.

One meal to bring you up won't cut it. You need to fix all the crashes

Yeah, that's why I use a mix of dextrose rice and oatmeal, they seem to digest and raise the glucose levels at the right times to cover the spikes. Just trying to get other options, making 3 different things is a pain in the ass (I usually just mix it all together, throw in some egg whites and whey, make shitty pancakes, and top it w fat free Greek yogurt). But that's too much damn work!
    I should just eat ho-hos at hours 0, 1, and 3!

If I was every going to use Insulin I would make a shake and titrate it based on slin dose + type.

Some combination of Cluster Dextrin, Manuka Honey, Liquid Coconut Oil, and maybe a nut milk.

One thing I did that was pretty gross but worked great was orange juice with added sucrose, high fructose stuff doesn't work as well for obvious reasons, sucrose is naturally 50 glucose 50 fructose where HFCS is usually 45g 55f and clearly causes issues.

If you're gonna do this, remember sugarcane tastes good and sugar beets literally taste like shit, no exaggeration there either.

I am not asking about what I should eat. I am trying to take a poll of what others eat. But I use novolin-r myself
