Actrapid

Hi there!

Because i didn´t know much about insulin ,I bought actrapid instead of
Humalog.
What if I inject into the muscle,would this also effect
the duration of it,or will it be active the same time,with
a more rapid onset?

i would say get humalog, it says that actrapid stays active for 8 hours......twice that of humalog

Yeah, I'd always recommend Humalog over any other longer acting insulin . Not only does it stay active for the least amount of time, but it's the most potent on an activity/minute basis.
This link gives you an idea of the duration of activity. Actrapid is similar to Humalin R.

Injecting it IM will speed up its onset but only slightly.

I am using Actrapid myself but will be switching to Humalog asap. The only the thing I considered was if using a slin split, I thought of using the Actrapid first thing then the humalog as my second shot 7-8 hours later
