carpal tunnel syndrome
Hello everyone it's been awhile since I've posted. Its good to be back. Anyways for the past week I've had severe pain and numbness in both my hands that occurs during the night. My doc diagnosed it as carpal tunnel syndrome. Anyways, he gave me some vicodin, ibuprophen, and some wrist splints. He told me to lay off lifting for awhile. I havn't lifted for a week yet I still have severe pain and numbness in both my hands that wakes me up every night despite taking the painkillers. The problem is I am in construction now which only compounds the problem. I wish I could take time away from work but I can't. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? Will any NSAIDS work? What about Active Release Techniques? What about deca w/ test? I really would like to get back to training asap.

ou want to test for carpal tunel, push your hands together palm to palm in front of your chest, push them together as hard as you can fo 30 sec to a minute, if you recreate the pain its carpal tunnel, also same set up but put the back of your palms together and push. thisis called phalens and reverse phalens test, a test that ortho docs and chiro's specific for CT
