Does this sound like torn cartilidge in my knee?

It started back in July, one day I was doing heavy squats and on my last rep it felt as if something in my knee had shifted or popped. It hurt for a couple weeks after, so I layed off of it. I then started working it again, and I felt absolutely no pain on extensions, but when I got heavy enough on pressing movements it came back. It's come and gone since then. These past couple weeks it's gotten worse. I've done hack squats for my pressing motions the past 2 weeks. When I get to a certain weight or rep its back, a shooting pain through the center outside of my kneecap. Then it gets worse after the gym, as the night goes on it becomes worse, then by morning after I sleep its as if my whole ****ing knee is locked up!!! I wake up limping and cannot bend my leg but only slightly. I'll rub it and take a hot bath, it helps a tad, but what does this sound like? Anybody had a similar experience?

don't use heat, use ice! 20 min 3-5 times a day. also wear knee wraps from now on, i recomend inzer Z wraps. without doing ortho tests and mri its hard to say whats wrong with you, go to an ortho doc, and get checked out asap

Yeah, I managed to get an appointment at an orthopedic specialist tomorrow morning. The only reason I havent put ice on it is b/ there is no swelling. Now that I think about it, if an ongoing injury was serious enough tha it required surgery, I probably wouldnt have been able to go over 700lbs on the hack squats to begin w/. Either way, better safe than sorry. And this was w/ knee wraps, you'd be crazy to go that heavy w/out them

knee wraps are a neccesity!!! try the ice, just because you don't see inflamation doesn't mean there is none, also ice helps with pin relief andto stop the injury from spreading. tell me what the ortho has to say
