    Help me with my elbow

I had a problem that started as a pain under my tricep above the elbow that started after neutral grip pull ups. when it got really bad my fingertips would go numb. It kept on for a while and I ended up taking off for about a month. Between taking off and starting to use tennis elbow straps above the elbow it healed up.. so I thought.

The same pain started again after deadlifts on the arm with the reverse grip. I'm using a elbow "brace" that tightens above and below the elbow. the area under the tricep is better now for the most part but now the pain is in the outside of the joint itself.

Supination seems to inflame it the worst and its mostly pulling exercises that hurt it. Otherwise it is just a dull pain throughout the day hurting more when I straighten it out.

Could be because you locked up your elbow, or over extended it which might have pinched the nerve that runs there. Best to avoid full elbow extension for a while see if it clears up. I had similar problem when I was locking my elbow to much during one arm reverse triceps pull downs.

I tried DMSO. it offered some relief for a while. I just got a tube of Voltaren Gel and some Meloxicam. If this does not help i guess it's time to go to the doctor.

I agree, try and keep that arm from full extension. Also, you may want to look into compression sleeves. Some people say they suck, some say they can't lift without them. For $15, I say just try it out and see if it helps.

What fingertips were getting numb? All of them? Or more specific? Resisted supination is a positive test for radian nerve entrapment. Start with rest, ice therapy, and anti inflams. Severe cases docs might perform a decompression of the nerve, but it doesn't sound that bad. Also soft tissue massage can help. Check the neck too, if you have any tightness there that can contribute to more pain from an entrapment at the elbow, its called "double crush"
