My first post to this board

Hi everyone! Iv been reading on this board for quite a time now and I finally got it together to join a short time ago and I thought it would be nice to stop in and (finally!) say hello!

    A few stats for you:
    38 yrs old
    310 lbs
    bf (guesswork) about 22%
Been training about 12 yrs now

Iv added a few pics here, sorry for the shirt and the hair () but i suffer from psoriasis so i cant get rid of the hair without some extreme discomfort!! (The shirt hides the worst of it too)

Id also like to say that in the time Iv been reading here Iv seen nothing but support and encouragement and sound advice from everyone concerned, you guys are like a breath of fresh air! Lets hope that at some point I can make some worthwhile comments as well.

Hi PTbyJason, my goals for this year are simply to lose some bf and (try) to retain as much size as posible (I guess we are all doing that!)

Iv spent the last year bulking up and lifting big, but my next stack will be more aimed at cutting bf and keeping what i already have.

My lowest bf was in 99 at 12% and 280lb so ill aim for 12% and see what happens on the way.

    Thanks for the welcome guys

Your huge! What I find to be most impressive is the size of your lats despite the body fat. WOW!

Thanks for the good response guys!

Tennis_God: Not sure about bowling balls but they are usually about 21 cold, but Id LIKE them to be as big as bowling balls heh!

llbeastcd: I think I owe my lat size to my odd training cylces; I do heavy deads followed by as much of a back workout as I can manage, and then I also do a separate back workout day as well.

I tend to train 4 or 5 days a week if I can, but the days off are when I feel like it, and not set times. I also dont beleive in training "weeks" so I dont have a set order in which my body parts are hit.

Sometimes I will do heavy deads and then squats the next day (if I feel I can do it that is!) I know its odd and sometimes seems counter productive but its worked well for me over the years.

Of course sometimes I just crash out for a week or two and the closest I get to training is looking at my power rack! Having said that I always grow during those crashes so I dont mind much!

Thanks again guys! I think Im going to go do some more deads now

    PSORIASIS

    Dude, Your hugh!
About the psoriasis condition. I have had several relatives that have had the same problem. Invest in a tanning bed bro or at least get a tannin package at a tanning salon near your residence. Sunlight does wonders for the condition and if you tann regularlly it will all clear up before you know. Stay away from any type of alchol as this will only aggreviate the situtation.
Stats look good. Keep up the good work.

Hi Big Red. My lifts go in cycles depending on what juice im using () and what lifting cycle im on.

I tend to do 2 months (or so, its not measured as such) going really heavy, then ease off for another 2.

These are all for sets of 4 or more, iv never been into singles. Sorry but I cant be bothered to work this all out into lbs!

    Deads: 295 kilo
    Squats: 260 kilo
    Bench: 185 kilo
    Shoulder press: 160 kilo

sometimes ill go a bit heavier on a particular exercise but i dont really keep tabs on it, these are numbers i just remember!
