does anyone think a fast is in order here? i know i would lose alot of muscle too. is it even worth it?
-
05-06-2005, 08:21 PM #13
dont starve urself, that is a really crappy way to lose weight, ur metabolism will slow down and when u start back eattin it will come back just as fast if not faster. just increase the amount of cardio u do and do ur cardio harder to burn the most calories possible.
-
05-06-2005, 08:22 PM #14
i don't know much about fasting, but it doesn't sound like a good idea.. doesn't your body go into some sort of starvation state, and hang on to calories or something??
-
05-06-2005, 08:25 PM #15
im not to sure im still researching jucie fasts, but it seems like a good way to clean my body of all the crap that i put into it the last 2 years, and start fresh.

Atkins or no carbs will drop alot of weight off you really quickly... its a terrible way of dieting and you will lose muscle but if you're just looking to get to a reasonable weight than it will be effective. Not a long-term solution at all, but seems a bit better than a juice fast.

i tried a real low carb diet this past week and all week i was feeling sick, slow and tired. is there any x-tra vits i can take to help that?

WOW man.. thats really something amazing to want to come a long way... i use to be worst then you.. 120 pounds... a twig, a toothpick, floss... etc... chinese chopsticks... u name it.. and that changed a little, but its only the beginning... and i write this becuz I know how awful it is to see everyone with beautiful bodies at the gym, and all the effort it takes just to get up off from the coach TO WALK TO THE GYM... i know.. i know what u feel, what u felt, and what ur gonna feel.. my only tip, AND IT SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS, is PRAY... thats right pray.. i aint gonna tell u diet, sleep etc.. thats the easy part.. its staying focused, motivated, the invisible things that are hard... not the visible ones.. And that my friend is The Living Lord's department... invisible things... WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE UR GONNA LOVE IT!!!!!! YES SIR KEEP IT UP!!!!! PRAYYYYY U GIVE ME COURAGE, U MAKE MY FAITH GROW.... bye

Wow good luck. Very brave of you posting that pic. I just lost 7 stone over the course of 12 months. I have tried several different diets but the best I found was here. Check out the stickys in the diet forum. I am still losing fat and gaining muscle. I didnt even think that was possible!! Happy dieting!!

I think keto would be the way to go for you. Once your body gets used to burning fat for fuel instead of sugar, you'll feel great! Many would disagree w/ me, but you will lose 1-2 lbs. a day vs. 1 lb a week.

or feel like U cant...GET UP AND GO!!
Once I got in the grove back then, I need to
