    BF% Progress: October - January(present).

    I didn't even realize this til I looked back at my pics a few months back. I am shocked and how bloated and fat I was looking.

    Glad to be where I am today and getting better.

    First pic was in October. Second, a few days ago, Last, current.

    29" waist at the moment. I've only been training abs for 2 weeks.

    Still alot of work needs to be done. Tomarrow starts week three of dieting. Mind you, I am still bulking.

    are those stretch marks in the first pic?

    not flaming, but i have horrible ones along my pec/delt tie in, you are the only one i have seen with ones as deep as my own!

    No flame. Yup, those are my war wounds. They go away when I tan. I start tanning mid Feb so I'm not too worried about that right now.

    I was on Dbol /Test/Deca /Slin in the first pic. I think it was my 2-3rd week into the cycle so no real big changes yet. Yeah, I don't train abs from Aug-Feb and they usually stay that way no matter how dirty I eat.

    I disagree.

    Mass you're getting ready for a contest.. diet and cardio will 'make your midsection look tighter'...

    Oblique work should be done infrequently imo.

    Obliques get a lot of indirect stimulation already.

    Glad you chimed in... So what do you suggest as far as a ab workout routine for myself?

    I'm currently doing:

    3x25lbs Decline crunches
    3xBW Leg Tucks
    3x120lbs Rope Crunches.

    Anything you would add, remove, or change?

    I don't like to give ab-routine advise for the simple reason that i don't do abs.



    I normally start 'ab-work' like 6 weeks out from a contest...

    That's normally:
    roman chair/incline sit-ups: 4 sets
    Seated/lying/or hanging leg-raises: 4 sets
    Seated Torso twists (obliques).. 1 set.. This set normally lasts for about 5 minutes.

    Off-season.. and prior to the 6-week mark, my ab training is indirect: deadlifts; squats; over head presses; clean-and-presses etc.

    I'd drop the rope crunches.. the 'upper abs' are usually the better developed because they're the area most people give preference to.

    Yes..

    In addition, if you're hitting abs more than once per week, one (different) exercise per session would do just fine.

    So let me get this straight. I train abs 2x a week. I do 3sets of Decline situps one day(Wed) and 3sets of tucks or w/e on the other(Sat) and thats it?

    bump that to 5 sets (training abs like you would any other bodypart).. and you're good-to-go

    Well, I'm still not cutting. I am still indeed bulking just clean bulking. I cleaned up big time and started cardio.

    I'm feeling pretty good. The first day or two was bad but I am up to it for now. The real problem will be 12 weeks out up until the show I think but I should be able to make it.
