Competition pics of me
Not the best pics, but they're all I have. I had to snap them from a VHS tape of the competition. I ended up placing 4th in the light heavies. It was a good experience and I want to do it again in a couple of years once I put on 20 extra pounds of muscle and can get in at the top of my weight class.
I got a vid clip of my posing routine too if anyone is interested in seeing it for kicks. Nothing special, just fun to watch to help anyone pick up some pointers on what not to do
Click here and then click one of the video links (might just work... might not... just created the url, so it'll take a while to work). You need a divx codec for the video to work.
Also... if the vid works... Any suggestions on "what not to do" or "how to do better" is always appreciated. Nobody ever wants to go up in front of a large crowd of people and look like an idiotLast edited by dangit; 05-29-2003 at 04:48 AM.

This year I want to work on getting a bit more thickness in my chest and getting bigger lats. Getting more definition in my legs is another thing I need too. They seem to be getting better, but there is alot of room for improvement. Getting more posing oils for a show would be good too. I ran out at the night show... hence the very light color.

Looking sharp! Your competition must have been fierce (it usually is in the light heavy).
Your legs seem to overpower your upper body a little, but as you said you want to put a little more size on your back and chest. I think though if you're legs were tighter they would have match your upper body very nicely (they did a pretty good job as they were).
What stands out to me is your calves need to be a little bigger to match those big wheels of yours.
Still, you looked great!

Awesome condition. You looked freaky! Congrats on the contest. You must have had some incredible competition. I disagree with demetri about your legs overpowering your upper body... OK, maybe your back could thicken/widen but your front looked HUGE! Those delts and arms in pic #3 are giant and the cross striations in your chest show muscle maturity. The only suggestion I have has already been said...you need more separation/detail in your quads/hams, and bigger calves to match the size you have in your upper legs. That's being picky though. All in all, you looked great!

The competition was pretty good. We had 14 people in our division and the top three guys were really shredded. The top two had glutes like an anatomy chart. Real freaky shape and real nice simmitry.
Thanks for the inputLast edited by dangit; 05-29-2003 at 09:52 AM.

How tall are u man? Just wondering... You should work on widen your upper body, you have got enough thickness to worry about widening exercices only. And i am sure you´re pretty strong as well.
I think that´s your only weak point, wideness. Some dudes have wideness and don´t have half your thickness, though they seem larger.

Might be the quality of the pics but it looks like your legs could have been harder? As in you should have dieted longer.
Not flaming at all bro, you look great. Congrats to the 4th place!

Yeah, I could have used an extra two weeks of dieting and posing to try and get my legs more cut and seperated. They looked better the week after.
It's one of those body parts that you never think of flexing during the year. The only time I ever think trying to make my legs look seperated and cut is near a competition.
They're getting better and better every year. I just have to remember to keep flexing them year round like the other bodyparts
I'm 5.6-5.7" BTW WallyGator.

I had him in 3rd place as well, and I told him that if he dialed his legs in a little more that he would win the class next year. For the record, he has been training his legs pretty hard for the last little while

That's a back with caverns and cuts... I can see you bringing more calves, more detail on the quads and more meat on the back and spread them lats like wings brotha.... But dude your in awesome shape
I would definitely like that look and sport it well...
