    Before and after pics

Hello everyone! this is my 4 month before and after photos! The before photos are me 4 months ago at 240lbs (im roughly 5'10") and the after photos are from the other day post leg training so my legs don't have a ton of definition in them (weighing 186lbs). This is a natural transformation as most of you will be able to tell, since i'm not crazy huge or ripped. I'm 20 years old and i've been training for 7 years now, just thought I would put out my photos to see what you guys think of my physique and what I can work on! I'm also planning on doing a show too which is about 16 weeks away, I haven't done a show before or even done a cut so any tips would be really appreciated! thanks for looking

Outstanding work! Why not turn this into a progress log and post regular updates showing how you do? Be a great way to track your progress and get feedback from the members as well!

Thanks everyone for the comments! I will make a progress log on here, its just that I can't always get pics at the gym and the ones at home don't have good lighting but I will use them anyways

    Progress Log

These photos were taken a couple days ago, I take a video on my phone then screen shot to get the pics so they aren't as clear as my other ones. I've done 2 low carb days since these pics were taken and i've noticed a big change in my physique. I'm 14 weeks out from my first show and I plan on losing another 10lbs and see where i'm in terms of leanness. I feel i'm ahead of the curve in terms of how I look this far out. This is my first comp and first time dieting so any tips are welcomed!

Also if anyone can critique my posing for me that would be awesome, I personally dislike my front double bi and front late spread, and also my side chest (but that's probably because I'm too small to make them look good)

Yea all natural, I've been training for 7 years but I almost stopped lifting completely in 2016. I got a back injury and couldn't train and that made me sort of depressed, my body weight stayed around 185-190lbs but I was skinny fat. I would go to the gym for 2 days straight then take 1-2 weeks off. I finally got into my old rythmn in February of 2017 and I just blew up to 240 in about 6 months, a lot of it was muscle memory but I also grew a bunch of new tissue!

    Your poses look solid.
Work on pulling your lats our more on your front double bi. Great to see a vacuum!
Little nuanced changes in leg and hip position can make your waste look even smaller and everything else bigger.
Side chest be sure to twist into it more.
Side chest always slide the front leg against the back leg and push the front ham out as much as possible.

Use google and watch as many videos as possible on posing. There are instructional video's out there.

Thanks for the posing tips! A guy from my gym is giving me some free posing lessons and he showed me how to hit the front double bi better to bring out my lats and basically everything you mentioned! Also I think my front double bi is one of my weaker poses, oh well I just have to train back even harder now
