Cutting Diary, SIX PACK OR BUST!!
Okay guys I have decided to start a diary on my progress. I am right now at the end of week one. I feel like I have made decent progress. This was my first hard core week of dieting. My carbs have been under 50g every day, and protein a little more than 200g. This may seem pretty low to some, but for the past four years I was getting maybe 120g a day, so this is a lot to me. Anyways I feel like I have done good for not having any cardio this week. I tried one day, but almost got bit in the arse by the crack head down the roads pit bull so I decided that jogging was out of the question (hehe). But I did buy a stationary bike at wal-mart today, a fairly good one, and I'm sure it will be better than nothing, so I am inserting cardio on an empty stomache next week. Tomorrow is my first cheat day, and I'm so scared about it, but I know it is necessary. I have also been taking about 75mg of ephedrine a day. Anyways here is my progress for week 1. I can actually see my abs! It feels like Christmas!!
(The first pic is from today, the second is from last week)

And in case you guys are wondering what my goals are, it is not a certain weight...or a certain bf%....it's just SIX PACK OR BUST. I will continue to diet down even after I get a six pack however, but the six pack in my number one priority.

its sort of har to tell because in the 2nd pic you have shadow covering your abs and your chest whereas in the first pic you have light on those areas. But anyways looking good man, good luck with the cardio. Something you might wan to try also i swimming. I always go at 5:30AM to get my lazy ass off the pc. Oh and what makes up those 50 grams of carbs?

50g is max, 27g of carbs come from my morning banana. And 24 come from my 3 double scoop protein shakes a day. Those are the only carbs I get. Maybe a few more when I throw cheese into the mix.

Thanks for all the support guys. Today was my cheat day. I got up around 11 (hehe) and did 27 min & 30 sec of cardio (couldn't decided between 25 and 30 so I made a compromise). Anyways then I started the morning off with two slices of homemade venison pizza (it kicks ass). A little later some lemon cake, then a protein drink, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Not too bad huh? All week I dreamed about how crazy I would go on my cheat day, and that's how it turned out. I feel like I wussed out lol. I'll probably cheat at least one more time today though, as it is only 6 o'clock. The PB&J felt hella good though. Anyways that was my cheat day, and nynsb, I'm liking this side of you! Thanks for the support bro.

I wanted to say i admire your dedication to leaning out, as I know it must be frustrating when some people have a much easier time of leaning down. I've seen you have had a lot of dedication to what you are doing, and I am sure in about 12 weeks you will be extremely happy with your progress. Good luck!

Thanks guys, that kind of encouragement it what really keeps me going. Right now I am planning on just sticking to my diet and doing heavy abs once a week. However once I hit a plateau where I'm seeing very little results, I will re-assess my diet and hit the abs 3 times a week to try and shock my body a little bit. I don't think I will be able to lower the carbs much however, as 85% of the carbs I am getting are coming from my workout shakes, and I never top 100g. Anyways, I will keep you guys up to date with pics weekly. Hope to turn out an inspiration!

Okay, I finally got a better camera so here is a little better idea of where I am at right now. I even took a back and a lat pic.. ......no laughing at my sorry a$$ attempt at a lat spread lol. Anyways that is me as of week one. I was just trying to get some default poses down, so that I can pose the same week by week.

Thanks bros. It tickles me to death to see all this support!
I never realized how much picture quality can make a difference until I posted these pics. And I'm glad to know that you guys think I am getting close! I went back and looked at my first post in the members pictures forum from last may. I never realized how long I have come since I have joined this board! It's a great feeling.

I wouldn't go up to 3 times a week on the abs.. sounds like a recipe for overtraining.

hey, im 18 as well and have dedicated most of my teen years to the weight room. Its nice to see another teen so dedicated to a goal and actually following through with it rather then going out evey weekend partying and drinking, well by the changes u have made in such little time i doubt ur a big boozer, maybe a party animal though haha. You are loooking great and like the otehrs said u arnt far away from ur goal. With your dedication and hard work you will be there in no time . Good luck with everything Bro.

Yeah good luck, your first pics in this thread look very similar to me but I hate to say it but maybe a little smaller. I'll be cutting in a month or maybe a little longer and I'll be watching your progress, to see how my body type does I guess haha. Good luck!

Yeah bro I changed me name.....not exactly sure why, but seemed good at the time. I like it better anyways though. And NtpaDude, I am making pretty good results right now, so I am going to stick with what I am doing. I am not consuming too much protein. I weight about 174 right now, and am getting in approx. 200g of protein. I will post new pics Friday, everybody is saying its a noticable difference, so I will see what you guys think.

My back has definately grown. I have been hitting it harder than ever (heavier weights) over the past couple of months. I had almost a complete lack of lats in December, and now they are finally starting to develop. My chest has been staying around 43 inches. In addition to updated pics, tomorrow I will also post a pic of what I looked like about 8 months ago....talk about improvement....in my opinion anyways.

Okay bros here goes. End of week 2. I started taking pics today and the **** camera battery went dead after I got two pics off, and I guess because it was low on battery when I took them, the quality didn't come out the best. But I will post them anyways, and try to get a few more pics into the week, because I don't feel these do justice to the changes I've seen at all. Anyways, I am going to start it off, with a pic of myself 8 months ago, before I found this board and decided to do it right.

02-13-2004, 12:08 PM #38
And now for this weeks progress. I realize its a little hard to compare to last weeks due to the quality, and the fact that I shaved. I've lost noticable fat from my chest, and lower abs. The lower abs is kinda hard to tell, but look at the belly button and you can kinda tell. My strength has been staying the same, so I guess that is a good thing. If you guys want me to post my diet I will. I finally got it consistent with about 205p/30c/50f. The last pic is a comparison between last week and this. I guess about what you can expect for 6 days.

I guess its working but do you think your calories are a little low? P-820, C-120, F-450 = Roughly 1400! Thats basically starvation man, no far off where I was at....Whatever works for you...
