What is the business with the tags under user names?

Mine says member, before I hit 500 posts it said associate member. How come lots of people with post counts above 1000 for example, have specialised tags under their names? Is it that once you hit a certain number of posts you can type what you want there in the user CP?

Just curious because there are some pretty funny things under some people's user names!

You have to hit a high post count.Something like 3 or 4k.Then you can request a name or whatever from Admin sign****g to everyone you indeed have no life..lol..

I have seen people with far lower post counts with a custom title. I don't know what the deal is to be honest...

Some people with low post counts get names from the mods when they want to play with the underlings. If somebody pisses the mods off they can put in what they want

Thats absolutely right. Bouncer is good at it. When BDTR was here he used to do it all the time as well. Its usually just in fun though and I think if you grovel enough and behave they will put it back. They usually only do it to people who are acting dumb or do something extra special
