Undeletable cookie from here....?

I have a cookie and a history item that I can never remove from my PC. Why is this the only site i have had this happen with? Any info?

you should have no problem removing any cookie from your computer, use a internet eraser..... download one from downloads.com there are many to choose from........

Go to your cookies folder like this, and manually delete them.

As an example:

C:\Documents & Settings\Your Name\Cookies

Select all, hit delete.

Try downloading Adaware... that should remove the offending cookie.

Maybe what you have isn't really a cookie for here.. but the remnants of a piggyback program.

i.e. a hijack of sorts.. not originating from AR.. but piggybacking on ARs cookie.

You can sort that out by going into your taskbar and start menu properties and clicking remove list of recent documents. Then webpages and history you have deleted will not be remembered in IE explorer.

Windows 2000 may be different to XP. Right click your start menu task bar anywhere along its length, hit properties. Hit start menu at the top of the new window, then hit customise at the bottom. Hit advanced at the top then at the bottom there is a box allowing you to clear recent documents.

Tell me if it works. Even though deleting the history, it stores the shortcut in IE explorer. For some reason, clearing recent docs always solves this problem. I'm sure it will work.

windows has the gayest "privledges" layout ever. MS is suppossed to be working on it, but in the past the user does not have ENOUGH privledges, yes you read that right. This makes people always run under "Admin" which is a big security risk and any code (malicious scripts, viruses, etc) can run.

Then it is definitely the account you are running. You need to log on as the admin.
