My best advice is see a nutitionist. I could not have not it with out him. He set my diet up and work out routine/cardio. It was worth every penny spent. I still see him on a monthly basis to keep things in check and help me put more muscle on. I want to do an NPC show in april. I competed at 125# last time and I'd like to go in at at least 130# next year. Having a good consistant training partner is also very important.

Hi Ladies, I just joined this site yesterday as I have wanted to correspond with bodybuilders, both male and particularly, female, for a long time. Just stumbled onto this site yesterday. I have a question. I have been weight -training quite seriously for about 20 years and I have a pretty good physique (5'8" 195, not ripped, but fairly close). I have been encouraging my wife in every imaginable way I can for the past 5 years to take up body building, or at least to seriously weigh train. I have always been supportive and told her that she is beautiful to me now (this is true) but that I also have always fantasized about female muscle power. How can I continue this without alienating her feelings?
By the way, she has, on occasion, come to my weight room in the basement ( say 4 or 5 times a year) and worked out. In fact, last October, she squatted 185 lbs for a set of 10 reps with maybe 2 light sets as a warm-up.That was the first time she had ever done squats! I was blown away by her strength. I knew she was a strong woman ( from play wrestling, etc. LOL) but I was ecstatic by her potential! I told her that with what she just lifted, she could likely be squatting 300 lbs fairly quickly if she worked out consistently. She was ok with it, but did noit pursue it at all- even with as much encouragement as I could muster without trying to turn her off(A tough balance?)
When I asked her why she wasn't more enthusiastic about tapping her physical strength to its potential, she said it just wasn't that important and besides, she wasn't sure if I could handle having a wife who became stronger than me! I assures her I would only find it erotic. I have to admit, she possibly could, and I'm pretty strong> Is this common among women? Any input/advice on this matter would be appreciated.
    thanks
