    newbie here!

Hey whats up everyone! I am an 18 year old freshman at Northwestern in Evanston, Illinois. I have been bodybuilding seriously for about a year- cardio 4-5 mornings before I eat for 45 min. and then lifting 4 days a week. I was supposed to do a show in Sept. quit 5 weeks out because I needed more time and was not where I should have been with my diet for only 5 weeks left. Now I am trying to lose 5-10 lbs. I am 135 with about 18 % bodyfat and I will post a pic as soon as I get a digital camera. Right now my diet looks like this:

    Breakfast:
    1 apple
    1/2 cup yogurt

    Lunch:
    2 slice wheat bread
    2 tbsp. peanut butter
    1 cup cottage cheese
    banana, pinapple, or peach

    Dinner:
    2 slices of wheat bread
    4 oz. turkey
1 cup cottage cheese or yogurt
    2 hard boiled egg whites

I am also taking Animal Cuts before I run in the morning. Any critique on the diet would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mind that I have to eat what they serve at the cafeteria and they dont have any plain grilled chicken breasts...ahhhh!! Anyway, hope to hear from you all soon!! It's great to be here!

Welcome to AR, Enjoy the Female board. We have some really great Fem Mods. Don't forget to come visit us guys once in a while too.

On the diet: I would waist away on that so I'll let some of the women help ya more. The only thing I would suggest is break it up in 5-7 small meals instead of 3.

Because I have a busy schedule here at college, it is hard for me to eat more than 3 meals a day. What are some quick foods I can bring with me to class besides shakes cuz I dont have a blender

welcome to the board!!! thoe only thing i might suggest is eating egg whites in the morning for breakfast and maby some oatmeal .

quick snack to bring to school with you would be protein bars for your snacks in between or make your meals ahead of time on sunday and bring them with you, most schools have a cafe where there is a microwave, even cold chicken breast are not bad

I can't cook chicken breasts because I live in the dorm and there is no kitchen to cook them. Maybe I will have my mom send them to me in a package!! What protein bar do you think is the best tasting with the fewest carbs and fat? Thanks for all the advise, I am going to try to eat the same amount but split it into 5 or 6 different meals.

Hey Musclechik, welcome to our dungeon. My wife competed on a few occasions in the past. You may consider adding more protein to your diet. A suggestion is to add another meal between breakfast and lunch. Add about 6 ounes of lean meat with 3/4 cup brown rice. Also add a protein shake in the afternoon. The additional calories will help you burn more fat, bulid more lean muscle tissue, increase your stamina and strength. Good luck...
