    Another new girl!

Hi everyone, I'm brand new to this site and am looking forward to learning a lot from you all! To give to a brief bio of me, I am 5'3, 114 lbs. and my bodyfat is 16%. In February, I started working with a personal trainer to help me lose excess pregnancy weight after having two kids. I got the results I wanted and now have become very serious into bodybuilding and would love to be able to compete in a figure competition next April. I did start to get frustrated though, because I had been on a long plateau and didn't know what to do about it. My abs are far from where they need to be if I'm going to compete. I recently starting working with my good friend, LEGOBRICKS, and now have a totally new outlook. I'm starting to get pumped up again and am excited to learn all I can.

Welcome .... I would keep your goals realistic. Get the body you are happy with well before you think of competing. Then hone it to perfection!!

Thanks, I understand it can take a couple years even to get to the point I want to be at if I want to compete? I'll just keep training hard till I eventually make it!

Yes definitely a couple years to work up the muscle for for figure.

Your 16% bf is pretty good to consider the new bikini category though with just a few months at the weights. Natural, of course.

Sounds like you have a good trainer already. Don't let him make you squat 405 at the start LOL. Check how he sets the leg press for you. Don't let him sneak 45's onto your bench press LOL.

    Have fun!
