Contest Advice
I was hoping someone could help me in preparation for my first show. I am about 19 weeks away and I am presently weighing in at about 255 pounds. I would suspect I need to lose at least 30 pounds to get contest lean. I have a pretty good foundation due to many years of natural training. I was hoping someone could help me with my time table to start my diet along with any diet tips and training/cardio advice. I will try to attatch some pictures so you can see what I look like now.............Thanks.....Bigmattjn

Hey Bro, need to know bf, training and nutrition habits in order to give help. Their are alot of resources out their that have good info, books, tapes etc.... Post more info. and the other bros here will problably be happy to put in their $.02 worth. just did a show in Dec so it is still fresh in my mind. But since this is you first their is alot for you to learn. If you have a hard time losing bf you problably should start 16 weeks out. But if you are dialed in 12-13 wks. is fine. You want to be ready the week before so you are not killing yourself right before the show. Ideally 1.5-2.0 lbs. per week is safe wt. loss without chewing up muscle mass. Post some pics so we can see where you are really at and go from there. Remember...Knowledge is power!
