hurt knee
wuts up guys,
im new to this thread. I tore my acl, mcl, and meniscus in my knee and had surgery on it. i wrestle in college and am a hardcore lifter, and i was just wondering if any of you guys have had something similar happen to you cuz ive been pretty bummed out lately cuz the doc said he doesnt know if i will be able to wrestle again. i also wanna know if i will lose a lot of weight and strength and how long it will be before i can get back into the swing of things. Thanks guys, any words of encouragment would be appreciated.

Welcome to the board. I don't know if you will ever wrestle again, but I do know when I messed up my knee I never missed a day of training...I just work harder on the upper
body!! Hit the part of the body you can still train and you should maintain and even grow!

I tore my ACL snow skiing. Bottom line, the surgery and rehab is horrible. Took me a while to get back on my feet again for sure. Not sure how yours was done but I had some of my patella tendon put where my acl should be. The good news is my leg is as strong as ever now. No problems at all. Bad news is that it took a long time.

sounds ****ty but im sure with determination and some good therapy you will be back in wrestling shooting some double legs like nothing

thanks for the encouragment guys, its been pretty ***ty lately but its all good, ive just been lifting upper body real hard, it just sucks that i cant run and lift legs, especially seeing how i love squating. Thanks
