    Skeptical but curious

    Hi,
I am 34 years old, 5'8, 190 lbs. Just returned to the gym a few months ago after taking 3 years off (kids). I am looking to enhance my gains.
I am currently being prescribed the Androderm patch (5mg), due to low T. At last count, I was producing 67 while on the 2mg patch. I am still lethargic with the bigger patch and would like to increase T more.

I do notice a difference with the patch, but I definitely still feel beat most of the time.

I am currently taking on a 3000 calorie diet 40/35/25.
    I am lifting 4-5 days a week.
    Bench 1rm-285
    Squat 1rm-265
    Deadlift 1rm-295

Looking for advice on where to go from here.

Oops. My fault. I'm new to forums too. I have been on the higher dose patches for a month now.

Ha. I actually am doing legs twice a week now (Sundays and Thursdays), but I was always a bit apprehensive about squats prior to this. Really enjoying them now though. Actually look forward to back and leg days more than chest.

Ask your Endo for another lab check to have your T levels reevaluated.

As Spartacus said; There is only one path, u need to get some bloods. Then we will see where ur at and maybe there is a simple solution like low iron or something.

Ask for as many values as u can but what u need at most would be total test, estrogen, prolactin, TBC, iron, fe, hb, hct. That is values from your hormons and blood.

Vitamins like vit D and q10 could also be interesting when feeling lethargic.

The rest, liver, kidneys, lipids are not that important now but ask for them also. Good to know where your lipids are at if considering steroids .

BP and heart beat at rest are also very important indicators in generall.

Put in two hours of googlestudies before u do it. Look up the values i mentioned and understand them. Then u wil be better armed when your results come in because u will need it because many docs just dont give a damn about us lifters.

Thanks for the response. I got my lab results back and I am currently at 240, but doc says that is fine because my B and W Free Testosterone is within range. I will take a look into what the other numbers mean.
