    New and desperate

Hi all . Great site btw.
A little about me I'm 45 5'8 and roughly 12stone. The last couple of years I've really noticed a drop in everything, including sex drive , enthusiasm to do anything , plus some days it's all I can do to get out of bed.
I've been to the doctor many times and all he wants to do is prescribe Prozac. I did try them but man they fucked me up big time , made everything worse. I finally got him to do a full blood test and I've got the results today. I'm struggling to make any sense from them but he says there all normal. My test level was 18.5nmol/L . Is this as normal as he says. I would appreciate any input.

Post the full blood panels along with the ranges used so people here can give you a better understanding of what's going on.

    Welcome!

Just as a side question- how's your sleep? Undiagnosed sleep apnea is one of the most common causes of this and frequently missed by GP's.

Sleep is good despite working permanent nights. I still manage to get 8/9 hours. My main trouble is getting out of bed.

Welcome to the board. Have you have your test levels checked as well?

That's pretty much what sleep apnea is. Sleep 12 hours, then wake up with a migraine without the energy to crawl out of bed. Worth checking out, but terrible sleep is a symptom of many things.
