Yes or No?
Hey guys im 22 years old, im 5'6 and i weigh 165 lbs, i have been going to the gym almost every day for 4-5 years, i have tried "super test 450", and anavar , however during my test cycle i was being foolish and i was drinking alot and not eating perfectly, i got some gains but not like i was expecting. during my anavar cycle when i was in the army i was about 4 weeks into it and i had to stop to do a month long exercise where i had no access to a gym and the only food source was rations. so basically i ****ed both my cycles up. I used to drink really heavily and take all sorts of pre workouts and caffeine, on occasions cocaine when i was depressed. Due to this i now have mild heart palpitations that doctors seem to think is harmless, and a bit of HBP. i don't drink any caffeine, pre workouts and only down to a few drinks every few weeks, my diet is really good ( at least i think it is ) but i'm really considering doing another mild cycle, i want to do something similar to anavar because i want to get as cut as i can and not much bigger. Is it a bad idea given the minor issues i have?

Hi, defgon. I've dealt with A-fib for a few years, but I aced my stress test, and the doctor said I can "push it." Mine comes from an electrolyte imbalance due to medications that block the absorption of magnesium and potassium. I supplement with an electrolyte product, which works, but every once in a while, it's an hour of misery city. Ironically, pushing the blood around during lifting helps more than anything, and I've never had any palp flare ups during my workout.
As a 9-year sober person, I can't tell you what to do. I think the outcome of excessive anything, let alone booze, has a long history of bad endings, giving you all you need to know. Also, mixing things your liver has to work harder to process and break down further stresses what's it's already having to do with the alcohol. Also, with palps, I'd stay away from the cocaine or any major stimulants. Coffee may be okay, but I've had to get off Vyvanse, which is essentially legalized cocaine you can't snort.
Now, as far as a "light" cycle of a relatively mild compound? I'd highly recommend you see your doctor and get blood work done. Have your cholesterol levels checked, liver enzymes, thyroid, kidney and have a PSA check. You also need to monitor your blood pressure regularly. If everything checks out okay, then Anavar or T-bol used moderately isn't bad for an older athlete. Just like with anything, though, you can over do it.
I'm sure a "few drinks" won't kill you, but everyone has their own idea of what a "few" is. I think if you're serious about training, there's really nothing good alcohol provides, and it makes it too easy to over do it. That being said, I'm not your mom, and if you're drinking one or two every now and then, no big deal.
Also, invest in your diet and an effective routine. Any substance might help some, but usually won't do jack without those two imbedded and practiced first. Get sleep, don't over train and allow your body to rest between workouts.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. I'm new here, too. You'll find a TON of excellent advise from guys that know WAY more than I ever will. So, good luck and enjoy the forum.Last edited by yosimitesam; 06-20-2013 at 01:33 PM. Reason: dumb typos

I might be wrong...but what little you say in regard to alcohol and cocaine I think there lies a significant problem and will effect your heart drastically, as you know. I hope your use of Coke is as light as you say, however your description of use of alcohol seems to be excessive and made out to not be seen that way. Now before I piss you off and I don't mean to this is just my observation due to my observing others that talk this way. So I might be way off, apology if I am, only you know.
With all that I just think you need to concentrate in that area of you life and in these cases abstinence would be the way to success. Leave the crutches on the other side, they are not on your side.
So that's all I'll say on this matter of yours. I'll just keep it to that detail of what you have done and where you want to pick up. Thanks for listening if you did and please I'm not here to jerk you around or even to put you in a box. ...crazy mike
