    Old Timer Checking in Anew

Former member from 15+ years ago posting during my college days (thus the terrible avatar I can't quite figure out how to change) checking back in.

Between then and now I haven't really stopped training, maybe took my foot off the gas when kids were first born at most. But now that I'm settled in to family life and things have calmed down some I've spent the last year or two really getting back in to it. During that time I've made good use of the google to refresh my memory on some things and have experimented with different sorts of training/periodization now that i'm not a spry 20-something anymore. While doing so I came to recall what a great resource this place was and figured i'd do my best to get active here again. There's plenty i can learn here and i'm hoping that with roughly two decades of training under my belt i'll have more to offer this go around to other members.

    Looking forward to getting reengaged.

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Good to be back...been perusing some of the sub-threads and it's energizing just to be back in the mix of people discussing this sort of thing with enthusiasm. Though I have to admit outside of Cyclon, MBH, Juggernaut and a few others I remember avatars and not screen names, so it's a bit hard to recognize old faces.

Speaking of avatars I'll get to work on changing mine and then throw myself into some of the workout forums to get reacquainted. Looking forward to it.
