    question about my dad!

okay guys my dads right hand like in the wrist area has been hurting him really bad lately for the past year but it keep getting worse and worse, the doctors dont really know what it is and eh thinks its a pinched nerve or an inflamed muscle or carpel tunnel syndrome, he has to wear a brace on it so he doesnt hurt it but it doesnt seem to get better and its kinda sad becuase he loves to play golf (and he just bought a new house on a golfcourse) and he cant even golf now. My dad is 61 yrs old and i suggested to him that maybe he should get his test levels examined and he might be able to get HRT ? What would oyu guys recommend he does becuase it doesnt seem to get any better and he needs to take advils to make the pain go away and he says he cante ven find a comforatable position for his hand. Thanks guys!

is he over weight?? could be arthritis... at that age the biggest threat of using test is that cancer will grow more quickly.. specifically testicular, and prostate..

    see his doc..

I think they've realized the risks are not as great as once thought. IMO, it's pretty common for docs to put 60+ on TRT now.

It is more proven that this is caused by excess of extrogen and not Test!!! Many articals out there that state test has nothing to do with prostate cancer.

I doubt the pain is linked directly to test and I think growth hormone might cause further problems (there are issues with carpal tunnel). But he could go get his testosterone levels measured and then, if they are lowish (and he argues with the doc), he can get HRT including deca which might help because it increases the fluid within joints. There are online HRT clinics as well.

If he has the pain at night when he's relaxed or if the pain radiates up to his elbow, it is probably corpal tunnel. I would send him to a hand surgion first. They can take x-rays and do electrical testing. The electrical testing isn't the most pleasant thing in the world, but it will determine what is wrong with his wrist. The x-ray can determine if it's just some form of localized arthritis.

Growth hormone would likely only make it worse. And HRT could help his overall health, but wouldn't do much for the wrist itself. He would just be a slightly healthier person with a bumb wrist.

I think I had the nerve testing -- that's where they stick pins in you and measure the electrical response?

You should look into Prolotherapy. This is where they inject very small amounts of fluid into the joint to encourage a healing response. I have researched this quite a bit and have actually begun prolotherapy on my knees using hgh.

The deal is, most injuries in a joint area willnot heal well due to inherent poor blood flow to tendons and ligaments int he joint. Prolotherapy causes an inflamation response which brings more blood to the area. Not drastic but, the drill. is that with 6 to 8 treatments people usually walk away without pain and often much better. There are several books out and you should be able to google info up on it.

    Good luck.

It's kind of like being hit with a stun gun over and over and over again. Yeah, they stick the pins in different parts of the hand.

that's it...not much fun although when you tense your muscle you hear your electrical impulses firing in all the muscle fibres. Sounds like a thunderstorm.

never heard of extrogen... will have to do a search...

but if you mean estrogen... that too is true.. however... in the medical treatment of men with testicular cancer..... HRT is not recommended.. it causes the cancer to grow..

I've heard that most people can't handle the pain. I've heard about grown men crying and women just stopping the procedure.

    I'm sure he meant estrogen.
