It increases your body's release of LH and FSH, which in turn causes a greater release of testosterone .

My fault, i thought you were asking how it does it. It should be a day or two after you take the desired dose of clomid.

ya but how long does it keep it high for, after stopping the use

It should gradually fade back to normal but over the course of a week or so if your over your normal level. But the main use for clomid is just to get back to normal test levels.
