Why taper doses of clomid?

Why do we taper doses of clomid? I mean we don't taper the nolva or even the actually steroids when we are on cycle. So why is clomid different?

Alot of guys do not taper the clomid... I always start w/ 300mgs on the 1st day to jumpstart pct then I run day 2-30orwhenever at 100mgs

my last clomid therapy was
day 1 300mgs
day 2-30 100mgs.. .. ..

No need to taper or even front load w/ 300 I believe in pheedno pct he goes w/ 100mgs all the way through..

Pheedno reccommends:

PCT for cycles 8-16wks:
Day 1-30- .25mg L-dex + 100mg Clomid + 20mg Nolva
