during my first cycle (test C at 400 mg wk for 10 wks) i didnt have any problems w/ gyno or water retention. but i am about to begin my second cycle of either test c or e going at 500-600 mg/wk for 12 wks. should i use nolva as a precautionary during my cycle because of the higher dosage or for some other reason?

Yes, or better yet use an AI (aromatase inhibitor) such as Arimidex or Letro (femara) to prevent the test from aromatasing into estrogen in the first place.
