I have a theory about mentzer. If this gets bumped enough, I'll write it out. However, I'm on the fence if steroids really made his body. It is unlike most other bodybuilders today in that the telltale signs of juicing are not present in him.

mike was the man. possibly should/ could have been the 1980 mr o.
drugs, training and genetics. his parents gave him those tris and calves.

I have seen just about every Mentzer pic in excistence, and of course he used stuff, he's even admitted to it in Heavy Duty 2: Mind and Body
I don't think he used as much as say, Arnold, cuz he definetly didn't overtrain as much as Arnold. Mike also had kickass genes. A pic of him at 15 showed this very well after 3 years of training. He gained like 40 pounds in that 3 year period. As far as injecting in arms, I dunno. Thats kinda new, at least synthol is. He may have injected his juice there but i don't think he would have done that, besisdes, it absorbs better in bigger muscle groups. Back then the drug regimens were more basic, not quite as kinky as they are now.

In some of mentzters pics, as i have seen alot, he doesn't look as great as others. I think the varience was due to whether he was on stuff at the time or not. But the above pic was definetly his best condition.

Mikes arms measured about 18 1/2" in contest condition. From what i have read his dosages were lower then what people reccomend for newbs to run as a first cycle.

18,5?? Man is that true? I have personaly seen 20+ inch ripped guns messured that didnt look close to mentzers size

well that was the offical measurement arthur jones came up with. He also measured sergio's and arnolds. Sergios were 20 1/4" arnies were 19 7/8"

I have never belived those messurements by arthur jones. Arnolds arms must have been more then 20. Just look at them. From every angle they are absolutely massive.
