Saw Fahrenheit 911
I was really wanting to see this movie. I consider myself a political independent but I really don't like Bush. I was expecting this movie to get me really worked up.
I wasn't very impressed. The first 20 minutes was interesting when he tried to link the Bush family to Saudi Arabia. There is definitely a lot of circumstantial evidence, but my response ended up being "so what?".
Then I think he spent the rest of the movie trying to shock the audience with scenes of war. War is ugly. People should already know that. Showing people suffering is not going to convince me that the war is wrong. That's what war is. People suffer during war. And my heart broke for the mother of the soldier killed, but again, that doesn't prove to me the war is wrong.
I think he could have spent more time offering real proof. Other than the start of the movie, I really don't feel like I learned much.
But I still don't like Bush.

I didnt think it was that good either. I liked Bowling for Columbine but this one is lacking.

this one wasn't as good as bowling for columbine. it did however give me a little more reason to hate bush a little more than i did before. i didn't know however that in dc the people rioted during bush's innauguration.

I refuse to watch the movie because Micheal Moore made it. Not for his political views, but for the way he trashes ALL of the American Public overseas. The guy needs to move.

One point he does raise, 15/19 of the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi, yet no action has been taken against them nor has there been an inquirey. Yet Iraq, a nation which has had no outwards attack towards America or its Allies since the first Gulf war is invaded, for.. Well, no one is sure. But yeah.

Well, I think the point he was trying to make is that the Bush family are completely owned by Saudi Arabia.
- The fact he has rock solid financial ties with them
- The fact that in the wake of 9/11 Saudis (including the Bin Ladin family) were whisked out of the country while important US brass weren't allowed to fly (which is very strange in my book as we didn't even know at this point 3/4 of the terrorists were Saudis or even that they were arabs!).
- The fact Bush has made minimal effort to apprehend Osama Bin Ladin, the biggest mass murderer in US history (regardless of claims of his family and country shunning him, my personal opinion is that they are protecting him).
I guess when you put 1+1 together it paints a strange picture.
I downloaded the movie and watched it too (no way Moore will get $1 from me to see his movies!) and also wasn't too impressed. Most of it was "déja vu" and the whole "war is bad mmmmkey" bit was tireing... though I guess some people may need to be reminded of that now and then...

I would like to thank Michael Moore for all of his lying and deception, it is triggering a conservative backlash that George Bush will ride right back into the white house..........

being a worker in the oil industry, and having to fly to the middle east to work every 6months, michaels moore's movie was basically a work briefing for me!
simple minded-inbred people walk into that movie with an opinion already in their mind, if they want to believe it then they will, and if they dont then they wont, regardless of the evidence moore gives, i dont need his evidence because i have been there and seen first hand how oil and oil companies have EVERYTHING to do with why many of our young soldiers are out there dying and more are going to die in the future. If terrorism and WMD were the main cause then my company wouldnt have been informed to prepare to go into action before military troops were!!!
Many of you give opinions based on wether you like moore or not, it has nothing to do with that, the man made a movie with true facts! you cant prove anything he said is a lie, or else there would be a movie made to show that!
I go there and i see it, and i shamefully take part in this big crook conspiracy, but at the end of the day i'm getting paid with your taxes so who cares if i convince you or not.

I think its scary how that guy has so much information and then decides to use it to make a mochary of our commander in chief....just so he can have a fat pocket.....fuk him

ehhh certain things errk me, didnt mean it to be taken so literal. but how would he feel then? lets face it the only reason nancy and ron reagan want stem cell research is because ronald suffered from a disease that stem cell research has shown promise to reverse. had ronald not gotten alzheimers do ya think theyd be all or stem cell research. if bush were in there position would he have a closed mind on the issue?

Bowling for Columbine was better though
