Iraq Iran and Israel
OK....lets assume if Israel struck IRAQ they would have gotten steamrolled.
Haven't we really created a monster by eliminating Saddam??
Iraq could end up aligned with Iran......so instead of hating each other you have one monster controlled by clerics aligned against Israel.
And whether Iraq is a "democracy" or not the clerics will still have the power.....you saw it in the peace brokered in Najaf

Yes, Iran and Iraq, will become the best of friends, thats guaranteed. Many Middle East writers have been saying this for months before the Iraqi war started.
The Shias are the next power block in the Mid East, taking power away from the Sunnis.

Yeah I think the Idea of making Democracys out of muslim/arab countrys is a joke. If they did get to vote in their own leaders they would purposely choose clerics to run their country with a taliban lifestyle. This is one of Bush's propaganda issues. Its not gonna work and he knows it.
No one will ever steamroll Isreal. They will steam roll Isreal over Americas dead army!!!

OK.......if Israel did not fear Iraq.......then Iraq was a non-issue......there were no WMD of consequence.....otherwise Israel would have taken them out.
Looks like we kinda hosed Israel by taking out Saddam....reduced the security of the region......
UNLESS of course we planned to go into Iran all along.....

I hope we do go to Iran they have been calling us enemys for decades now. And it would be nice to show them what that means for them.
I get what you are saying, but the thing is if Bush gets re-elected he will continue to fight the War On Terror and there will be more targets. Thats why we dont need to vote an Anti-War protestor in as our president.

I hate to admit it, but my prediction on this goes as follows...
A few months after the US pulls out their troops Iraq will elect to fall under islamic rule and that will be the last election there ever.
Being that they will now have a compatible political system to Iran (which Saddams dictatorship wasn't), the inevitable will follow and they will become strong allies.
Where that will lead I don't know... but it can't be good.
At least with Saddams dictatorship it kept the middle east divided... I think they will be far far more dangerous as allies.
And for those who claim we're giving Iraquis "freedom and democracy", won't happen... they don't want it... what they want is for some dictator - under the cover of islam of course - to run things.
Thats where I see things heading in a few years in Iraq...

The taliban's rule was such an extreme form of islam that I can easily see why it needed to be enforced by fear and intimidation... and this is still going on in rural areas. The problem I see is that 80% of the country is rural.
I guess the real test of the government will come when we pull our troops out and our soildiers, guns, planes and tanks aren't there any more to keep the general populace safe. Will they fight to keep democracy or will they roll over and let the taliban f... them again under the guise of islam... only time will tell.
(by the way I am not wishing them failure... but I am a born pessimist... expecting the worse case scenario and being pleasantly surprised when things turn out good is my outlook on life)

I see the Iraq/Iran marriage happening already.

There is nothing nuclear gonna happen over there. Egyptians and Saudis dont have Nukes. They are not even a concern of ours.
What would be nice though is if we disarm Iran. So they dont have Nukes.

I'm not exactly sure of Iran's situation right now but Iran is very very close to becoming a player in the nuke scene. If anything the jews should of lobbied for a war with Iran instead of a war with Iraq. Now that the US military is strained for resources, nothing is going to happen for a while. By the time they can gather themselves again Iran will have probably perfected it's nuclear capabilities. If Russia stops supplying them with knowledge they'll just lean towards Pakistan (which has given them some information on developing nukes already).
I also doubt Israel is going to resort to a nuclear strike on Iran as there are too many jews currently living there. Not to mention all the historical crap there is regarding to jewish history and culture.
Thank you. I win again.

If anyone is hungry for Democracy its the Iranian Youth but since the US millitary has such a bad image as the Great Satan and Occupier around the World it will just turn them agaisnt us too. Iran is next mark my words. Israel will bomb that nuclear reactor again if they have too.

Oh? And you know that how? Because you heard it on Fox News?
My father is a civil engineer who travels all over the world. In 2 days he's going to be in Iran (for the 30th time) and from there to China. I think I know a little more than you about the current state of Iran.

Nope not Fox News or any other news organization thats all you need to know.
09-01-2004, 03:05 PM #26
Also, as you already DIDN'T know... Iran is a democracy.
09-01-2004, 03:16 PM #27
LOL... that tops it off your an idiot. Iran = governmental rulers who are identical with the leaders of the dominant religion, and governmental policies are either identical with or strongly influenced by the principles of the majority religion. Typically, the government claims to rule on behalf of God or a higher power, as specified by the local religion.
