A matter of Respect (protesters)
You know what gets me mad about the election and a free democracy? I get so pissed off with these protesters... I honestly think that these people should stop bitching about not having jobs and money and instead of protesting for a week GO TO WORK or FIND A JOB.
I'm sure people would be protesting Kerry's speeches, but people work and know the man has the right to speak his mind.
Besides that little piece, the main thing I get mad at is the respect, or should I say lack of. These protesters got into the Republican convention plenty of times... Once got within 10 feet of the VP, and 2 times interrupted the president while he was speaking.
Notice that there was nobody that interrupted John Kerry or any of his speakers at his convention? That is because the people of the other party have respect for themselves and respect for other people’s freedom of speech...
Although I don’t agree with John Kerry and would never vote for him, if I met him I would be courteous and listen to him speak... If I went to his convention I would also listen, and I wouldn’t make a disturbance and make an ass out of myself... But that is just me, I think my country and our young citizens are loosing their self respect if we ever had any in the first place.
Note: This is more focused on the lack of self respect of the people that interrupted the speaches, not protesting so please dont spin this and say protesting has helped with this that and the other thing, im sure it has, that isnt my argument

They talk about freedom of speech but wont let the president speak and they dont want him too. ironic isnt it?

yea i know i hate bush but my protest against him is a vote for kerry, not clogging up the already congested NYC streets.

How about how some protesters laid down in the middle of busy intersections... Imagine if there was a fire or an emergency and an emergency vehicle had to get through?? I wish there was it could have run them over, but then again they would sue the city or something like that

The protesters want freedom of speech for annyone who agrees with them, otherwise they want to ride over the top of anyone elses opinion. It's rampant in the the whole political structure. You liberal media pundits who will not allow a conservative to answer a question. They ask a question and before the questioned even has a chance to answer they're talking over the answer.
It's like there is some play yard mentality where the one who is right is the one who is the loudest. Liberals drive me crazy that way. They claim freedom of speech for ever **** fool thing they want to say, but don't afford that same courtesy or respect to anyone who does not agree with them.
Most liberals I've met tend to be the most closed-minded, rigid, "it's-my-way-or-no-way" people I've ever met. Even the moderates are not very moderate. They try to convert you, or prove that you're views are wrong (or more importantly, that they are right), and the more you resist (or god forbid, fight back), the stiffer and louder they get. Other than the ideology, most aren't any less fanatical than the religious right they love to condem as fanatical.

They are so close minded too, look at clinton now in the hospital, i am more conservative now, but i wish him the best, if it was bush in the hospital you know how many people would be praying for his death..?
If kerry ran as a republican with same views the libs would be bashing him

The protestors where also at the DNC. I think the same ones or something. A bunch of Anti-War, Gay and lesbian, Pro-choice protesters.
Fox News showed video clips of the Anti-war protestors at the DNC. One event a guy that Fox News described as a Nazi Guy went up to the Protestors and started arguing with them. One of the protestors reached over and smacked the Nazi guy. Then they all started hitting him.
Another time a religous man came up put his sign on the ground and sat on the sign and started to pray. The Anti-War protestors attacked him as well.
Thats pretty aggresssive for some people that are against fighting!!

If you wouldnt kick the **** out of some Neo-Nazi punk then I find that weird. Any oppotunity if I saw a Neo-Nazi I will smack him up. They are the **** of the earth, racist ****wits who support Hitler thinking his actions were right up there with being correct.

I would like to hear how many news stations reported on that story. Most of you wouldnt watch a news station that mentioned such things.
