The satanic Bible
Does anyone know where to download a copy of the satanic bible ? I ask because I read an article in the paper about a man in the navy who has just been the first person in the forces to be granted the rights to practice satanism. He apparently delivered a speech to his supperiour officers about it and they agreed he should be allowed to paractice.
I just wanna know what he does

I never understood Satanism. If you belive there is a creature called Satan, you would belive in GOD, so why take the side of evil over good?

Its not about good and evil for me. In the bible you have the 10 commandments, or was it 12 ? Any way it says things like not to commit adultery , and not to steal , and something about not taking revenge.
Well I believe that sometimes revengew is sweet, and adultry can be done under the correct circumstances. I could go on all day here about it but theres to much to say.
Not that Im against those that do believe in all that stuff but in my opinion I think it should be okay to go against the commandments.

I Don't really agree of disagree with you for that matter, theses are just my opinions on this and of courses some of what the bible says is probably true but to be honest I think a lot of it isn't. I mean come on some guy rising from the dead ! If God is that almighty and powerfull why hasn't it happened again ?
We could go on here about this forever but the fact of it is the thing that keeps it real is people like us talking about it and really there isn't any proof for either argument so nobody will win it.

I hope you know satanism isnt about worshipping satan but about self pleasure and gratitude; one of the by products of satan. Dont you think it would be silly to worship something you know is wrong (i.e. if there is satan there is god) I did a study on satanism a few years ago and found that much of the satanic practices are about pleasuring one's self by means of sex, and other methods that would be self gratifying.
btw I did this study as part of a religions presentation I was in charge of, as I myself am a believer in Christ.

I wish you would reconsider your trip to the dark side. The immediate results may be gratifying but eternity is a long time to pay for them. I assure you the payment will not be pleasurable in the least.
To even travel that path as a study subject .........well you can see where I stand.
No judgment on my part just concern.

I dont know if you meant me or him, but I only know the slightest bit about Satanism because of a religions class I had in college. I was assigned a final presentation on Satanism. It was nice to know a little bit about something that I had really no clue about. Although I must agree that eternity wouldn't be pretty without Christ.
better get used to the heat!!

Chosen not you the Chemical King I'm worried about. Curiousity about some things is better left alone. And I agree with you Jesus (for me) is THE MAN! I put for me in there because we all know not everyone believes like you and I do.
And my post is of true concern, no flames or sarcasm intended King.

y anyone would wanna worship someone who has limited power, does nothing good for anyone, and hurts the ppl who devote their life to him... maybe its me, but i think those ppl are beyond stupid

I dont wanna worship the dude or anything I just think that since I dont agree with most of the bible and stuff that I want to look into satism. How can sumone say its wrong if they havnt listened to both sides of the story or tried it out ?

I read a copy of it a long time ago....not anything in it I thought was worth incorporating into my beliefs. I've found things I've liked in the Book of Mormons, Koran, I Ching and a others but this one didn't appeal to me at all. I like to root for the underdog but in this case I'll have to say I'm with JC all the way.

Fair play to you for that JUGGY. I just wanna eplore all my options before I meet my death one day and only then will I decide which path to take
11-08-2004, 02:49 PM #21
King you assume you will have time to make that choice, what if you don't?

A guy named Anton LeVey formed the Church of Satan a while back (1970's, I think) and in his book, "The Satanic Bible," he states that he does not beleive in the existance of a literal Satan or Devil, or Hell for that matter.
Just as some folks get off on the symbolism and experience of dressing up in Star-Trek uniforms at Trekkie conventions, some folks get off on LeVey's rituals. I have no idea why that would be in either case, but there you have it. Most people are nuts. But it's harmless entertainment, they don't spill blood--at least, not LeVey's group.
There are other varieties of Satanists out there that are more, um, malicious. Not many, but they're around. You probably wouldn't want your daughter to get mixed up with 'em.
