Demons, ghosts and other paranormal things
Does anyone here belive in ghosts or demons and what does your religion say about them? Also is there anything like catholic exorcism in judaism or islam?

The Hasidic movement which incorporates the mysticism found in Kabalah has leanings towards beleiving in demons and/or animated beings (golems). There is acknowledgement of ghosts in the Torah.
These supernatural entities do not concern the observant Jewfrom day to day.

in islam there are 'jin' which are the other beings created from fire and satan is believed to be of their kind. They are nto all bad, just like humans there are religeous jin and good jin and there are also bad jin and even satan worshipping jin, they live here with us but they are kind of in a different dimension when it comes to visually seeing them, however there are many instances in which the dimension barrier is breached and thats when 'supernatural' occurances happen, jin can pose as animals or even people, and they can posses people in which there are exorcisms done by really religeous scholars or so. Unfortunatly in poorer countries there are many con-artists that act as religous exorcists and con poor people and take their money when they really are doing nothing.
