    Why no democracy.......

In Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, etc etc.......wouldn't they have been a better place to start???? Progressive countries just ripe for the move.......
c'mon people......why Iraq for the democracy experiment in the mideast?
Kuwait would have been an easy fix......why not a big push for peoples rights??? The royals had fled........ why why why.......why not elections right then???

kuwait has a parliment rule, similar to that of england, the prince of kuwait is just like the queen of england, they dont rule a dictatorship, also qatar and bahrain have switched to the british system in which they have a prince/king figure but the elected parliment is fairly running the country policies.
I dont know about Jordan government its been a kingdom all my life , but Saudi arabia is definetly a selfish dicator type rule by the king and princes of saudi, the only reason they get away with it is because Saudi arabia 'as a government' has great relations with the US because of its great oil production and it allowing american oil business to work there. Saudi has serious human rights issues and equality issues inside of it but they will never be touched because we cant risk chaos and insurgency in Saudi were we get so much of our oil.

IS this a rhetorical question? Or do you really want a speculative answer?

The answer is (of course) related to global Capitalism and NeoLiberalism, as expressed by Noam Chomsky.
