Buddhas(gautama) last lesson?
Be your own light, your own refuge. Believe only that which you test for yourself. Do not accept authority merely because it comes from a great man, or is written in a sacred book, for truth is different for each man and woman
Is this realy what he said according to buddhist teaching or is this some kind of glorification? I had a hard time finding anything about this on the net I just found that quote on a website. But its said to be buddhas last words/lesson but when I search for buddhas last words I always find something like "be a light upon yourself" or "Everything is subject to change. Remember to practise the teachings earnestly."
I dont know what is the thruth so anyone knowlegable about this plz set me straight.

Unfortunately, I studied and earned a degree in Western Philosophy, not Eastern Philosophy (which is generally more closely related to Mysticism and Religion)....I'm not going to be of much help.
