Soul question. New souls and animals

This is mostly to christians and muslims but every other religion can shim in.

Everyone has a soul I assume according to the bible? Is it the same in the koran?

Where does the new souls come from since there is alot more people today then earlier? I guess the question is where are we before we are born

Also does animals have souls according to christianity, judaism or islam

according to ISLAM , Allah has created all the souls and knows how many will walk the earth from DAY 1 to the END .............. so basically its been set to as how many people will be born and then live a life to whatever end , and if u ask where are we before that well , all i remember is i was aware of my being self the day i was born .................. so in a view a soul is born with the birth of a new human being .

the soul is the breath of god in us. before we are "born", there is no soul or anything. as for animals, they may or may not, i dont think it says anything to this in the bible so i dont know.

actually i have to agree with u on the BREATH OF GOD thing , we also believe Allah blew the soul into us when we are born so , basically its the same concept of a soul being GOD's breath .
