Science vs Religion???
On the last choice, I didnt have room. It should read:
D) Science and Religion are NOT at battle; Both are totally separate entities and should not be used against or for the other.
I vote for C. Science and Religion are not at battle. I think that they both work together to prove my theistic beliefs.

I dont consider it a battle aslong as religious nutcases(the pope, bush ect)stops medeling with science. When they do there damndest to prevent progress scientists must "battle" them.
Science vs religion often becomes a forced battle since many religious people seem to consider science as ****ing with gods creation. Just as some scientists intentionaly tries to disprove religion(impossible after all since religion isnt exactly a falsifiable theory ). Aslong as those 2 kinds of people exist there will be a battle betwen the 2.
Even though I dont think science can disprove religion it can show that religions is not "needed" for us to exist.
Im gonna have to think about what to vote on. B was my first chooise but the wording in the end is a bit "odd". It makes it sound like supressing religion improves science.

I feel like Religion was kinda there to "explain" why things were happening, how things happened etc. Well we're at the point where we know a HELL of a lot more about how things started/how the world works (Cosmology, physics, etc) than back then.
Back then, of course people still wondered how things happened, but they could not FATHOM any of this cosmology or anything..so what did they say ? How did they speak of god? They made him sound like a dude in the clouds. Not because they were idiots, but because they were too primitive to wrap their minds around any other concept of what this feeling was.
IMO every religion is the same, just different cultures experiencing and documenting the SAME Thing differently.

Then you must be selectivly reading scientific publishings, because science has done more to disprove than prove.

I know studying cosmology and all of that may seem to "disprove" the Literal basis of some christian and other religious views.
But when you think about it, it's all symbolism. The Bible is symbolism. And knowing more about how things work doesnt mean theres no "God"..
Kaballistic beleifs have taught me that "God" is really more of something that exists in all of us. The good in everyone. Our desire to live and be fullfilled, thats God. Ego=Satan.
Time to realize that when they say "Fire&Brimstone" They dont really mean that literally
"Heaven is on earth".......

Yes, it all can be viewed as symbolism. It is a mental state in which everything that happens is regarded by a person as symbolic of his or her own thoughts. But is that not egotistical, or as you call it "satan"? And by knowing more about "how things work" we can then stop attributing the causes of events to god, rather then making up causes that conviently fit in with a certain (your) belief. So while knowing "how things work" doesn't disprove god, it does definitivly explain, free of bias, how something actually occurs, rather than using your own religion, as a base, to explain an event.

Not a bash but I am very curios to what you would see as proof agains the bible since you can always claim "god made it look that way" whatever science throws at you.
