The Chronicles of Narnia is coming to theatres
http://www.narniaweb.com/trailers.asp Here is the trailor, it looks awsome. C.S. Lewis typology is far more evident than J.R.R. Tolkien. For instance, the Lion that you will see in the trailor is a very evident typology of Christ. The movie looks awsome. Check out the trailor.

I hope it will be good.
But I like tolkiens viking influenced mythological world better.
I hope they soon begin to make movies out of good fantasy books not old "crap".

I personally think the new crap sucks. Tolkiens stuff was amazing, as well as C.S. Lewis but your right they did not wright Judge Dredd, the Postman, Glitter, Armageddon, Street Fighter (classic, a must see). I hope they make the "Box Car Children" into a movie soon, after all the old crap must go. I am sorry, you cannot compare the minds of Lewis and Tolkien who contributed some of the greatest literature known to man. It seems to be the new crap that is failing. Why have we come back to men like Lewis and Tolkien if they are old and outdated? Maybe it is your statement that is out dated. I dont know.

but yeah dude, it's gonna be an awesome movie - do you know when it's comming out?

But when it comes to books many of the new writers are just as talented as the old ones. Read Robin Hobbs farseer books for instance they are utterly amazing.
I like tolkien offcoure mostly because it has a feel of nordic mythologi all over it.
We have gotten back to lewis and tolkin simply because they started it all. They are the most known. But not the best. Obviously movies about Lord of the rings will make more money than movies about Riftwar since the later is not known.
Your look at those books as superior is the same as people claiming muhamed ali was the best boxer of all time. A love for something that was the best in its time.
btw a series of books that would make a awsome movie is the belgarion books. They suck as books but they are like made to be converted into a epic movie

Its best if you understand the historic time and context behind the book of Joshua.
