All of these hurricanes must me global warming.....
Because we have never had this many Cat 5's in such a short time frame like we are now.... The seas are getting to hot. This is unheard of>>>!>!>!

No its a global organised crime made up of Japanese criminal with russian technologies that control the weather

no no no you're both wrong god is clearly punishing us! repent now or burn forever. your soul can be saved with a one time generous donation to one of those lovely tv preachers.

I think the US government should move North America somewhere else

Just a couple of degrees difference is seemingly reeking havoc, I guess global warming issues may need to be addressed.

All I know is I'm going to enjoy Florida now b/c it will probably be underwater in a few years. Ah, to think all that perfect ass (female, that is) in South Beach will have to relocate.

global warming is one of the most overhyped theories in existance and a good show of manipulating data to fit a hypothesis.

I dont know why many people are so against the notion of Global warming. It exists. We humans are killing our planet.

All I know is that we as a race are shitty and mother nature is just wiping her ass ie. but. I wanna watch it all go down. Dont mind my pesamistic point of view just no other way to see it. Im tired so tired. ps ski a great winter. LOL

If you think of it as a graph of temperature they only include the last bit of the graph with the current climb. They leave out the part of the graph showing higher peaks then the one we are in now.
Odds are that the claimed greenhouse effect is just a natural temperature variation. There is nothing odd or special with this climb.
I still aggre we are killing our planet. But it aint through temperature. Its because of the toxins, genetic manipulation ect.

Im more worried about the possibility of the earths magnetic poles switching place, a super vulcano or meteorite strike than Il ever be about the greenhouse effect.

global warming is because of heat radiation getting trapped. Ozon layer only blocks electromagnetic emission of far far shorter wavelengts(ultraviolet, x-ray, gamma).

I would be willing to bet the volaco erruptions during a 10 year period releases way more greenhouse gases than our global industries does in the same time period. Trying to find some numbers to compere.
09-23-2005, 10:43 AM #18
btw I guess there was alot of industries back at the time of the dinosaurs that increased the temperature because earth was alot hotter back then thats for sure

sounds like something the homeland security department should be getting into cant let those evil infrared heatrays penetrate into us territory.

Its the russian manipulating the weather!
Yes yes people! a big hurricane showed up last year in the south atlantic where it never happens and dissapeared like nothing happened!
lets look at Katrina, she went to NO, the third busiest port in North America, then mowed some oil rings. Now we have rita heading toward the refineries!
a plot people I see a plot

what exactly are you afraid of happeneing when the poles shift?
09-23-2005, 03:22 PM #26
for a while we wont have a stable magnetic field around the world. That will let alot of radiation through down to earth. best case scenario we will just have alot of cool aurora borelias all over the globe. Worst case we all get cancer from the suns radiation.

well the solar wind is acctualy what would worrie me
But I dont worry if it happens it happens and aint a damn thing I can do about it. So that just means how little I worrie about global warming. I think more resources should be put into limiting release of all the filth we put into nature now and less towards lowering CO2 and other greenhouse gases.
Global warming doesnt concern me since the world has seen much larger quantities of greenhouse gases but all the toxins does worry me because I dont want any future kids I get to be raised in a world utterly destroyed.
I read in some science mag that its predicted every second man and every third woman from this generation will get cancer within there lifetime
09-23-2005, 03:36 PM #29
the fact that many of the toxins we release nature cant breakdown and the fact that they get more concentrated for each step in the food chains means we now are seeing the effect of what we released maby 20 years ago. 20 years from now maby it will be to late and by then we will only feel the effects of what we release now.
No hiding from it either, no matter how clean you live it gets to you. Its in the water, food, plants, soil. Every ****ing where.

Letting nature try to clean up the mess left behind. Without us adding to the damage something new will arise.
The fact that the area around chernobyl is a thriving forest with all kinds of life gives me much hope that life on earth will cope with most things we can throw at it. We might not survive as a race if we are trapped here but atleast we wont bring the rest of earth with us.

Realy the only way I could imagine with us reversing the downward process would be a dictatorship run by a board of scientist with the sole goal of making us into a ecological society.
09-23-2005, 03:48 PM #33
Indeed, but no matter how well we take care of the planet, it's going to be destroyed anyway. There is nothing the hippies can do to save it. Nothing lasts forever...not even diamonds

I cant justify ruining the future for billions of people. Not when knowing that if mankind did a joint effort to clean up the mess and get better clean technology we could.
But as always we just go along with everything. Because tomorrow will still be a good day and probably the day after that aswell.....
Ohh well I think to much, just dont confuse me with tree huggers and hippies
09-23-2005, 03:57 PM #35
lol I'm not calling you a hippie. I was just using them as an example. And don't get me wrong, I don't think we should just dump leaky nuclear waste and not regulate industry to protect the planet. I just don't think we should kill ourselves or stress ourselves out trying to save it. Do the best we can with what we have. That's all we can ever do.
and if you want your great great great great great great grandchildren to be running around with trees and stuff we'll have to fix this population problem. And stop burning down essential rain forests.

I think the magnetic pole thing is very interesting. I think the whole global warming thing is rediculous.
There is no evidence for it.

Global warming is a sham.
As Professor Philip Stott wrote in the Wall Street Journal on April 2 2001:
'"Global warming" was invented in 1988, when it replaced two earlier myths of an imminent plunge into another Ice Age and the threat of a nuclear winter. The new myth was seen to encapsulate a whole range of other myths and attitudes that had developed in the 1960s and 1970s, including "limits to growth," sustainability, neo-Malthusian fears of a population time bomb, pollution, anticorporate anti-Americanism, and an Al Gore-like analysis of human greed disturbing the ecological harmony and balance of the earth.
'Initially, in Europe, the new myth was embraced by both right and left. The right was concerned with breaking the power of traditional trade unions, such as the coal miners -- the labor force behind a major source of carbon-dioxide emissions -- and promoting the development of nuclear power. Britain's Hadley Center for Climate Prediction and Research was established at the personal instigation of none other than Margaret Thatcher.
'The left, by contrast, was obsessed with population growth, industrialization, the car, development and globalization. Today, the narrative of global warming has evolved into an emblematic issue for authoritarian greens, who employ a form of language that has been characterized by the physicist P.H. Borcherds as "the hysterical subjunctive." And it is this grammatical imperative that is now dominating the European media when they complain about Mr. Bush, the U.S., and their willful denial of the true faith.'
09-24-2005, 01:21 PM #40
Its all we hear about, the public accepts it as fact, why dont we ever hear the other side to this hoax. Earth has been changing temperature for years. Today, everytime there is a big storm we blame it on global warming, The temperature jumps or drops, well it must be global warming. The theory works well if your trying to slow down Americas consumption of the worlds oil.
