I guess that the North American Media is banned from televising this?
Ironically, the internet is where you need to go to get the truth...
I had no idea that insurgents were really slaughtering the U.S. troops that bad.
I heard that the dead troop count hit 2000, but I guess that video opened my eyes...
I wish that I had something more to say, but I am speechless.

just a thing bout the number of casualties brucy. They only count the soldiers that died on the battlefield. As long as thir heart is beating when the medics come to the field they are discharged, and if they die a minute later, a week later, or they blow their brains out once they come back here, they do not account as a war casualty.
The truth is probably 5-6 thousand dead, and not even to think about all the soldiers that are mutlated for the rest of their lives, either phisically, mentally or emotionally.

Its propaganda. The American public, for the most part, doesn't need to see the deaths. Remember, in the states, on regular TV, you still can't show tits or say "****". How would they show something like this? If the number is stated as 2000, its pretty hard to lie about. There are people checking up on these things everyday. Don't fall for it all.

With the greatest respect my friend but thats pure bullshit. If kids who are legally too young to have a beer back home in the USA can go and kill and be killed in a war based on lies the same people have the right to view these figures.

So its ok to show Colon Powell visit the troops in Iraq, and Miss Rice visit the other day (fantasy stuff) the viewing public don't have the right to see reality?. Now who's talking about propaganda?.

Either you missed understood me or I didn't come across correctly. I wrote "doesn't need to the see the deaths". I don't know why I wrote that when I meant "doesn't want to see". I don't see a problem w/bringing reality to the screen. However, most people can't handle it. Like Israel: after a homicide bombing...they only show us certain pics...the public really can't handle it if its too gruesome. So, in short, I don't think there is anything wrong with showing it...I just don't think the general public can deal with it. I would never spread propaganda that I knew to be false.

The only thing I disagree with you about is that the war was based on lies. That is partly true, you're right. However, there are aspects made clear to the US public that were absolutely true.
    WMD: False
    al-Qa'ida-Saddam Connection: False
Bin Laden-Iraq Security Services Connection: True
Saddam's defiance of UN resolutions (nearly 20): True

weird during WW2 at first the images of american getting killed where censored, then they decided to remove it and show the attrocities of the war and the support and boosting of the war efforts went up! but this was another war....

Look for the video called Juba Iraqi Sniper Video on any search engine. You will see events not shown on most media networks.

Honestly when I saw the Juba Iraqi Sniper video, I felt very bad also. I respect all soldiers from every nation. They are just doing their job. And its sad to see any soldier die, but that is war. And it has to be done.
