Who is the military eloquent "powerhouse" in the Islamic world?

Want to hear your own opinions on the stated matter.

I believe Turkey is first because it is member of NATO, followed by Pakistan because it has nuclear weapons.

I think Pakistan is first b/c of nukes but Egypt is very close. They have a very high tech military; especially good air force

Re-read my title. I said powerhouse in the ISLAMIC world not THE WORLD.
I know they arent anywhere remotely close to being a superpower, they have no clout.
I wouldnt believe Egypt is so strong and I would class Iran higher.

    still none

study them closely, even when they buy the best military equipment they get their ass kicked by anything more inteligent

Paki vs India with their nice new tanks
    Jordan vs Israel
    Egypt vs Israel, UK, france
    Iraq vs Iran vs Iraq
Iraq vs US (first gulf war)
    Erythrea vs Ethiopia
Indonesia vs Australian and Kiwi forces

    I will tell you why.....

Ive trained and I trained some of these soldiers

most of them are conscrit except Pakistan who are volunteers.

most of the officers come from big family or are there because they know someone in power, they are not there under their qualifications.
soldiers receive the training of what here we called "basic for a reservist".

So here I would say in my top list including military training.

1- Pakistan with Israel (why Israel with 1.something Israelis Muslim )
    2- Turkey
    3- Indonessia
    4- Saudia
    5- Iran
    6- Egypt
    7- EAU
    8- Syria
    9- Jordan

none are powerhouse the forces of San Marino would kick their ass with their ceremonial guard

I very like Pakistan soldier, hard, good working soldiers, professional, disciplined.

this is exactly whats happening here, I strugled to enter the Lebanese army officers rank and I failed because they take people who have connections with someone in power, I am shiite so I have to contact a shiite leader in power to help me, christians contact a christian leaders in power to help them and so on...

What do you mean by this? "Ive trained and I trained some of these soldiers"
I think pakistan wins in terms of quantity(personnel) and clout(nukes) but Im not sure the quality is there. Navy, radar systems? Then again theve always been spending much assets on military because their constantly on the brink of war with India.
See this is where those bastards is congress approving and keep selling to india then pak tit for tat and making a killing.

Oh ok I see. Interesting. So what type of training is it?What do you teach?
Yeah I see the Chinese and Japs are always competent and serious. Even in University, the Chinese would actually stay home on the weekend and study in groups. That was their idea of "going out". Go figure, but hey it pays dividens later in life.

not really, if you want a future in China you have to be an Electric Engineer LOL, all the important posts are given to Electric engineers LOOOL, and then we wonder why it doesnt function properly.

I usually teach when they ask me, either from a basic military training or seminar for low conflict wars. Not very proud of the courses I gave to the Haitians tho

Pakistani Special Forces are a good group of soldiers, highly trained, and battle hardened.

I would think Egypt is stronger than Iran.

The Turkish military are way better than anything else in the Islamic world. They are easily first.

    No

    Paki goes before Turkey

    why:

Turkish soldiers are conscript for the most, compared to paki who are volunteers. Also Pakistan material is a tiny bit better, turkey still use WW2 artillery pieces.

As for Iran and Egypt, Egyptien will get their ass kicked by Iran, atleast in Iran people are motivated

Actually it seems both Paki and Turkish army are very close. Pakistan has nukes but Turkey has the second largest standing force in NATO after the United States with the highest number of F-16 aircraft in the world, aside of the US air force so I believe it goes before the Pakistani Army.

yeah they can be big, but they are crap in training, they are not volunteers and not motivated. Turkish troops are a pain in the ass to work with, take 1 Paki vs 10 Turkisk the Paki will kill them all while doing a lamb with curry!

Yeah I too would say the paks maybe for 3 reasons.
1)Slightly more troops in armed forces 500,000-600,000
2)Better/more recent equipement due to its on/off close relatioship with US, also China and N.Korea.
    3)Naturally, having Nukes

Even though i'm Egyptian but i won't say Egypt is as strong as it was back in Saddat's time when the Egyptian army was USSR weapons armed.
but now and since the peace treaty with Israel Egypt's Army isn't as strong.
the Gvnmt. focus mostly on econonmy which is horrible now.
