Science vs Faith on the bible
A friend posted this on another board. I started watching it and being that many boards don't allow a section like this is what brings me back to AR aside from actual BBing.

Man, these are the type of men I would love to meet on larry King and go head to head.
Ask Shermer about about Craig vs. Zindler (Zindler was his pick, his top pick as defender of atheism, the so called cream of the crop).
It was called the great debate "Atheism vs. Christianity". It went out on radio on 1000's of radio stations. More than 7000 attended, of those 7000 almost 1000 were (admitted) atheists. Of those 1000 atheists more than 90% (of these atheists) gave the debate to Craig (theist).
I am not trying to be arrogant, but I could make these men look like fools in public debate.
These are the men I love to run across, all they know is how to break down, while never knowing how to build up. These men are deceptive, there presupposition is blaring from the beginning, there attacks are personal rather than concentrating on the issue at hand. I have no problem with someone who attacks my faith in a honest way, he has studied and believes it is true. These men are deceptive, men with out presence, men with out chests, do you think they will allow there presupposition to look bad on camera.
They claim to be "not out of context" they are severely out of context.d
I wonder if these magicians have faith that there view on christianity is true.

I've already have all the bull shit seasons on dvd . Michael Shermer is a favorite writer of mine, and I especially enjoy his Skeptic column in Scientific American. He really puts the bible in a good perspective.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt "deception" the cornerstone of this show. "Penless and tongless" Proclaimed magicians who are still under the impression that cursing ads legitimacy to a arguement. Assuming my statement is true, why would any rational person believe this stuff. Penless and tongueless are talking about a meaningful subject (validity of Bible) But according to there philosophy (atheism) there show is meaningless. These men decieve for a living. Forgive my babbel, but these men have no hearts, even worse, they mock those who do. If anyone has any questions about this junk ask. It is so easy to lead men like "ten and Peller" into a trap, there pride is through the roof, they are more interested in stomping and embarassing rather than meaningful debate. Of course it must be nice when you run magic show that only allows one view concerning the bible . I could go on, forever.
I feel the same way about Benny Hinn, this type of crap really bothers me. Woe to these men.
All three should get to gether and start a magic circus.

I'd love to tell me everything you know. Don't mind me, I am just interested. I find both sides of the religion argument to be rather interesting. Although, I do in fact beleive in God. I don't beleive in religion. Especially a religion that is rich(catholic) and has murdered and slained x amounts of people over the years.

You seem to think that God and religion are mutually exclusive, meaning you cannot have both. This is not true. If God exists and is personal, then it is likely he has revealed himself in some way.
What the crusades did in the name of chrisitianity is truly sad. But, we must remember, this is not the logical outworking of the christian faith. It may be the abuse of christianity, Christ hardly would have endorsed the atrocites these men commited in the name of God.
Augustine said it years ago, "you never judge a philosophy by those who abuse it, you will never believe in anything if follow this type of thinking.
The Philosphy must be looked at by itself. Remember human beings are finite, sin has sealed our fate, time is short, if the media offers you 10 extra years, dont get to excited, 10 extra years is ten to many, Our home is with the Lord, we are called to occupy till He comes. I feel bad for people who desire to live for ever.
This world is decieving, it will lye to you, Ravi Zacharias often says that one of the loneliest moments in life is when you have just achieved what you thought would deliver the ultimate fulfillment and find out that it does not.
The highest rate of suicide is not amongst those who never had anything, but amongst those who had it all and found that it pointed nowhere. Sometimes it takes a whole lifetime to discover that even the most highly aesthetic and valuable things have only tem-porary and partial worth.
This will touch the heart of some people, we all have experienced this. Thats the problem, Experience.
It is sad, because the world/television, ect, convince many of us that we need these things for a meaningful existence. Dont believe it, (a new car wants a better car ounce the thrill is over.) Donot be decieved. We are not made for material possesions. Take a step back from the television for a while, when you return, observe todays commercials carefully, How deceptive . How sad. We think with our eyes and rationalize with our feelings.
Jesus said to Pilate, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” John 18:36. This is a clear statement as to what the kingdom of Christ is not. It is not a political and materialistic kingdom with certain geographical territory and which needs to be upheld by the power of human arms and war. Jesus acknowledges by using the present tense “is” that He has a kingdom, but it is a heavenly, spiritual kingdom.
I want people to realize, I am human, I am no saint, donot think that I am caught up in arrogance and self righteousnesss. I am far from the latter because the latter cannot be reached.

I am starting to write, if any one has anything to add, let me know. Penless and toothless lost truth the second they stepped in front of the camera.
