    i agree too. i think that deadlifts give you a much better contraction than shrugs, are less boring, more rewarding, and just better in every way.

    are those the same as a high pulls (where you perform a clean movement but don't actually take it to a front squat position)?

    I love to do clean pulls from blocks, saves you from wearing out back. all you do is pullthe weight with clean technique and don't pull with arms, but with traps to accelerate the weight, great trap workout. you will definitly feel them the next day.
