I'm not from England, but I am hardcore into powerlifting... just wanted to say "Welcome aboard!"

I won the APF Florida States 2003 @ 220 & 2004 @ 242. My best meet as of yet was the APF Southern States Dec 2004... Squat- 804 (365 kilo), Bench- 567 (257.5 kilo), and Deadlift- 722 (327.5 kilo) for a Total- 2094 (950 kilo)... I am currently 1 month out from competing in the APF Senior Nationals June 3-5 2005 up in Detroit, MI... if all goes as planned I am on pace to hit a 2200 total. This is the start of my third year powerlifting, each year I have paced myself at 1 meet every 6 months. So Sr. Nationals will be my fifth meet. I did compete in high school over 10 years ago (bench and clean & jerk). I have always trained with a passion, just at a much higher level of intensity now. Ah... When I start talking powerlifting I tend to get a bit longwinded... enough about me, how about yourself?

Nice lifts RJstrong, hopefully i'll be as strong as you one day. I have my first competition on the 2nd july, which i'm looking forward to. My max lifts are Bench=440lbs (200kgs), dealift=484lbs (220kgs) and squat=572lbs (260kgs). Power lifting isn't as popular as i believe it is over in the states, ashame, but i love lifting.

That's some solid lifting! Good luck on your first meet. It's probably safe to say that powerlifting is in your blood now... your a lifer! Don't put too much pressure on yourself, enjoy your meet, and hey maybe you can be the catalyst that helps make the powerscene grow in your neck of the woods!
